Mr. Thomas Mearl Turner, son of the late Mr. Robert Turner and Mrs. Marthie Alice Walker Turner, was born 2 May 1915 in Barren Co. and departed this life on 13 Feb 1993 at his home in Green Co. He was 77 years, 9 months and 11 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. He united in marriage to Miss Frances Evelyn Bryant on 28 Oct 1 950 who preceded him in death on 21 Sept 1992. He is survived by 4 sons and 1 daughter, Mearl Anderson Turner of Louisville, Bobby Joe Turner, Dale Turner, Carlos Ray Turner, all off Greensburg, and Robert Turner of Cave City. He was preceded in death by Mary Alice Turner on 13 Feb 1962. He was also survived by 1 sister, Irene Turner of Michigan; 7 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 2step- great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. The funeral services for Mr. Thomas Mearl Turner were conducted at 1:00 pm Mon. 15 Feb at the Cowherd & Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Macedonia Cem. Rev. Larry Wisdom officiated. Pallbearers were Bronson Bryant, Kenneth Bryant, Gilbert Wright, Darrell Bryant, Leslie Bryant and Hubert Wright.

Mrs. Frances Evelyn Turner, daughter of the late Mr. Charlie Bryant and Mrs. Mary Frances Brooks Turner, was born 16 Oct 1929 and departed this life on 21 Sept 1992 at the Humana University Hospital in Louisville. She was 62 years, 11 months and 5 days of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. She united in marriage to Mr. Thomas Turner on 28 Oct 1950 who survives. To this union were born 4 sons and 1 daughter: Mearl Anderson Turner of Louisville, Bobby Joe Turner, Dale Turner and Carlos Ray Turner, all of Greensburg. She was preceded in death by Mary Alice Turner on 13 Feb 1962. She was also survived by 1 step-son: Robert Turner of Cave City, 3 brothers: James Bryant of Greensburg, Orville Bryant of Nashville and Charles Bryant of Horse Cave, 1 sister: Goldie Hart of Greensburg, 7 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends. The funeral services for Mrs. Frances Evelyn Turner were conducted at 1:00 pm Wed. 23 Sept at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial in the Macedonia Cem. Rev. Larry Wisdom officiated. Mary Martha Turner, 4 year old dau of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Turner died at 10 pm Tues [1962] at the Adair Co. Hospital after suffering burns on Mon at her home near Donansburg. The young girl was playing outside the house with some other children when she was burned by ? from a grass fire. Her mother ran out of the house and removed part of her clothing. She was rushed to the hospital. The grass fire was thought to have been started by some of the children playing with matches. Besides her parents she is survived by 3 brothers, Murrell, Bobby, Joe and Larry Dale Turner, all at home; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bryant, Donansburg and Mrs. R.S. Turner, Horse Cave. Funeral services were conducted Thurs at 10 am at the Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Elvis Marcum officiating. Burial was in Macedonia Cem. Pallbearers were Charles Bryant, James Bryant, Hubert Wright and Donnie Wright.
