Leah Naomi Blakey Hutchinson

Leah Naomi Hutchinson of Bedford, IN, died Saturday, April 18, 1998, at her residence.   Born on March 26, 1917, in Clay County, TN, she was the daughter of Robert and Susan (Greene) Blakey.  She married Glenn Hutchinson on April 15, 1933, and he died February 25, 1985.

Surviving are two sons:  Walter Hutchinson of Edinburg, IN, and Randy Hutchinson of Bedford; three daughters:  Olive Bowling of Scottsburg, IN, Marian Hutchinson of Erie, PA, and Debbie Webster of Mitchell, IN; three brothers:  Carlos Blakey of St. Petersburg, FL, Frank Blakey of Carmel, IN, and Robert Blakey of Fishers, IN; twenty grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons:   Melvin and Arnold Hutchinson; three sisters, four brothers, and three great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker and a member of Fairview Community Church, the Ladies Aid Auxiliary of Fairview Church, and the Flatwood Neighbors' Club.

Services for Leah Hutchinson will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 21st, at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.  Friends may call from 3-8 p.m. Monday, April 20th, and until the service time on Tuesday at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
