Ruby Moore (Bunnell) Mires

Died: Sun., Mar. 30, 2014

Ruby Mires age 88 of Hardyville, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2014 at Hart County Health Care in Horse Cave.

She was a Hart County native, homemaker, farmer and a member of Fairview Church of Christ.  Ruby was also a foster grandparent, member of the Hart County Homemakers Club.  She loved crocheting, baking, flowers and gardening.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carlos and Myrrell Davis Bunnell, her husband, Herbert B. Mires, Sr., a son, Chester Mires, 2 sisters, Artie Belle Bunnell, Mae Ola Rigg, 2 brothers, Paul Bunnell and Sydney Wallace Bunnell.

Ruby is survived by her daughter, Lurline Mires of Hardyville, 4 sons, Larry Mires and wife Pat of Lemon Cove, CA., Herbert Mires, Jr. and wife Carolyn of Mammoth Cave, J.C. Mires of Munfordville and Ed Mires and wife Momoyo of Puyallup, WA.  11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.  2 sisters, Elizabeth Borders of Hardyville, Geneva Grady and husband John Paul of Houston, TX., 2 brothers, Don Bunnell and wife Anelle of Radcliff, KY. and Nelson Bunnell and wife Margaret of Murray, KY., a brother-in-law, Don Mires and wife Babette of Ft. Wayne, IN.

Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2014 in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in the Pearl Webb Cemetery, Canmer, KY.

Visitation 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Thursday  and after 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
