Joyce Wayne Robinson age 74 of Cave City, passed away Friday evening, April 3, 2009 at N.H.C. Health Care in Glasgow.

She was born April 24, 1934 in Scottsville, Ky.. She was a retired school teacher, having taught for 32 years, 28 of which were at Caverna High School, she also was a member of the Cave City Baptist Church, the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association, the Cave City Chamber of Commerce, Cave City Firefighters Auxillary, a charter member of the Cave City Lions Club, and an Honorary Kentucky Colonel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Murl and Viola Pearson Patterson and her husband of 41 years, James (Cotton) Robinson.

sister: Jean McCall and husband Cecil of Georgia
niece: Jada O'Neill and husband John of Georgia
nephew: Jason McCall and wife Kristi of Georgia great nieces and nephews: Reilly, Owen and Lachlan O'Neill, Dylan and Delia McCall.

Funeral Service

Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2009 in the chapel of Winn Funeral Home with burial in the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation Information

Visitation 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Monday and after 9:00 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Joyce and Cotton Robinson Scholarship fund, C/O Caverna High School or to the American Cancer Society.
