Obituary dated 04 July 2006 in The News Enterprise for W. Lane Jaggers

 

W. LANE JAGGERS, 84, of Sonora, died Monday, July 3, 2006, at Kensington Manor in Elizabethtown.

 

A native of Sonora, he was a lifelong member of Sonora Christian Church where he served as a deacon.  He was a veteran of World War II and was a lifetime member of the American Legion.  He also was a longtime member of the Sonora Fish & Game Club.

 

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Smith Jaggers; a son, Tommy and his wife Donita Jaggers of Sonora; a daughter Tracy and her husband Tony Peters of Bedford, Ind.; a brother, H.L. Jaggers of Sonora; four granddaughters, Carrie Jaggers and TaLana Jaggers, both of Sonora, and Allie Peters Crouch and Charlie Ann Peters, both of Bedford, Ind.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

 

The funeral is at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sonora Christian Church with the Rev. Handley Edlin, the Rev. Robert Perkins and the Rev. Doug Carnes officiating.  Burial will be in Sonora Cemetery.

 

Visitation is from 5 to 9 p.m. today and continues from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Manakee Funeral Home in Sonora.
