DEAVERS, OWEN T. JR., 88 passed away Friday, July 4, 2008 at Norton Suburban Hospital. He was a World War II US Army veteran and also a Korean War USAF veteran. He was a 1939 graduate of Male High School and a 1955 graduate of the U of L School of Engineering. He was a professional architectural engineer for the Deavers Engineering Firm. He is preceded in death by his wife the former Nina Jean Coffey. He is survived by his children, two sons; Timothy Keith Deavers and Owen Thomas Deavers III; a daughter, Nina Carol Deavers; two grandchildren, Kayla Deavers and Christy Bennett; and a great-grandson. His service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday July 8, 2008 at Highlands Funeral Home 3331 Taylorsville Road, With burial to follow in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday July 7, 2008.
