Mr. was Smith a native of Edmonson County was a coach at Irvington and Morganfield before coming to Munfordville as coach and Physical education Teacher in 1954. In 1956 he became director of pupil personnel at the Caverna School District and in 1956 he became principal of Caverna High School, a position he retained until June of 1966 when he went to the department of Education.
