GLASGOW - Gary Lee Middleton, 61, of Cave City died March 13, 2007, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. The Cave City native was a graduate of Caverna High School and attended Western Kentucky University. He was a member of Cave City Church of Christ and was a deputy jailer at the Barren County Correctional Facility. Mr. Middleton was appointed a Kentucky Colonel and served as a Cave City Council member from January 1993 to December 2004 and was a former board member for South Central Rural Telephone Co. from 1996-2002. He was a faithful husband and a loving father and grandfather. He was a son of the late Harold C. Middleton and Norma Pedigo Middleton of Cave City, who survives. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Edna Pearl Calico. Funeral is at 2 p.m. Thursday at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Cave City Cemetery. Visitation begins at 6 p.m. today at the funeral home. Other survivors include his wife of 33 years, Brenda Calico Middleton; three daughters, Karen Middleton and her fiancé, Craig Peterson, of Bowling Green, Tracy Middleton of Gaithersburg, Md., and Angela “Shell” Kesslar and her husband, Brad, of Glasgow; a grandson, Jake Kesslar; and his father-in-law, Harold Calico of Berea. |
