Bea and I celebrated our Fortieth Wedding Anniversary in March 2004. We currently are residents of Melbourne Florida from September through March. We spend the remainder of the year at our home in Glasgow.
Our oldest daughter Linda lives in Glasgow and has three sons, Ray, Chris and Chance. Our youngest daughter, Debbie lives in St. Cloud Florida with her husband Jared, son Ben and daughter Emma.
After graduation I worked about 6 years for W. F. McShane Plumbing and Heating in Glasgow. I then spent about 2 years as an agent for American General Insurance Company. Following this I worked as the Indiana/Kentucky sales representative for DAP Inc. for about a year. The next 10 years were spent as an estimator/project manager for Fisher Corporation, a mechanical contractor located in Glasgow. In 1983 Bea and I formed Green Mechanical Construction, Inc. We performed commercial, industrial and institutional plumbing, air conditioning and piping in Kentucky and Tennessee. We initially were based in Glasgow but later added offices in Bowling Green and Lexington. In 2000 we sold the company and retired.
I enjoy golfing, bicycling, genealogy research and woodworking.
Over the years I’ve served as Elder and Deacon for the Glasgow Bible Church, Served as president of the Glasgow Highland Rotary Club, been named as a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow and appointed a Kentucky Colonel.
