Douglas Allen Cherry, 35, of 126 Clearview Drive, died at approximately 8:45 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 1980.
Cherry was an employee of the Holley Carburetor Plant and member of the Broadway United Methodist Church. He was a Vietnam War veteran in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a former resident of Horse Cave and a 1964 graduate of Caverna High School.
Funeral was at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Arch L. Heady - Johnson Funeral Home with burial in the Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
Survivors include one daughter, Miss Heather Cherry of Bowling Green; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.S. Cherry Sr. of Bowling Green; two brothers, H. Wendell Cherry of Louisville and L.S. Cherry Jr. of Bowling Green; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Ann Holland of Montclair, N.J. and Mrs. Sue Ellen Lloyd of Bowling Green; and his grandmother, Mrs. Felia Cherry of Richardsville.
