William Robert Alexander McClure Green, second youngest child of William and Amelia (Milly) Green was born in Roane Co., TN Feb 16, 1842. He married Mary A. Whitlock, daughter of Benjamin R. & Amanda Caroline Sandidge Whitlock, June 13, 1867 in Green Co., KY. To this union four childern were born four children: Pleasant Ashlock (1868), Sara Jane (1869), Marion Radford (1872, and George Alfred (1874). Mary died Jan 17, 1875 On Dec 19, 1875 William Robert married Etna Ann Nelson, daughter of Demarquis and Nancy Nichols Nelson in Metcalfe Co., KY. To this union were born 11 children: Charlie Alexander (1877), Bettie Thomas (1880), James C. (1882), Dora Pearl (1885), Henry A. (1887), Lucy Beulah (1890), William P. (1892), Emily Susan (1894), Luther (1897), Nellie (1899), and Walter B. (1901) |
