          Lucy Mildred Smith, 62, of Glasgow died Saturday, September 06, 2008, at her residence.  She was the daughter of the late Joe Henry Jessie and Minnie Mae Compton Jessie.

          She is survived by one son: Timothy D. Houk of Marietta, Ga.; two daughters: Rita H. Barone (Tom Whittaker) of Glasgow and Patricia L. Beauchamp (Jason Beauchamp) of Glasgow; Thirteen grandchildren: Jesse Keeton, Felicia Keeton, Linda Malone (Chris Malone), James C. Keeton, Lisa Huggies (Leslie Huggies), Whitney London, Heather London, Shelby Beauchamp, Jacob Beauchamp, Ashley Seeley (Joe Seeley), Nicole Burgess (Joe Burgess), Destiny London and Randy Whittaker; three brothers: Samuel Jessie (Lavinia Jessie) of Temple Hill, Manuel Jessie (Harritt Jessie) of Lodinburg, Ky. and Danny Jessie (Debbie Jessie) of Louisville; six sisters: Blanche Greer of Louisville, Edna Sexton of Louisville, Margaret Ramey (Roscoe Ramey) of Cave City, Jean Sexton (Ollis Sexton) of Edmonton, Elsie Isenberg (Charles Isenberg) of South Carolina and Linda Cannon (Wayne Cannon) of Glasgow; two special friends, Ken Harris and Pat Hurst; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

          She was preceded in death by two sisters: Barbara Jessie and Katherine Chapman; three brothers-in-law: Stanley Greer, Coy Sexton and Michael Smith.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 9, 2008, at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Big Meadow Cemetery.  Friends may call after 11:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
