Journal Review (Crawfordsville, IN) - Monday, December 24, 2012 Deceased Name: Kenneth Eugene Isenberg May 17, 1927-Dec. 21, 2012 Kenneth Eugene Isenberg, 85, residing in Lakeville, IN, passed away at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 in his home. He was born on May 17, 1927, in Gamal i e l, Ky., to Sherman T. and Elma (Hall) I s e n b e r g. On Nov. 17, 1950, in Lakeville, IN, he was united in marriage to Lois Eileen Mangus. Mr. Isenberg is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Lois Eileen. Their children are Dr. Keith E. (Anita) Isenberg of Ballwin, Mo., Karen E. (Craig) Werner of Naperville, Ill., Jerry L. (Maureen) Isenberg of Washington, Ill., Gary L. (Dee) Isenberg of Crawfordsville, Walter S. (Jenifer) Isenberg of Frankfort, John K. (Marcy) Isenberg of Rossville, Amy M. (Jon) Roush of South Bend, Kevin D. (Candy) Isenberg of Lakeville; 33 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his brothers, Truman (Helen) Isenberg of Gamaliel, Ky., Lowell (Sue) Isenberg of Lakeville and Marshall (Sue) Isenberg of Tompkinsville, Ky. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Mr. Isenberg was proprietor of Isenberg T.V & Appliance Repair, a company he started in 1954. Mr. Isenberg spent six years as a 1st Sergeant in the U.S. Army National Guard where he served from 1947-1956. He was a member of Lodge 353 F.&A.M., 32nd Degree Scottish Rite, and the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 479 in Lakeville. As a member of the Lakeville Lions Club for over 55 years, he served as District Governor, President and Secretary. Kenneth served with the Lions Club Youth Exchange and Eye Bank Committees. He also served on the Union North School Board for eight years, six of which he was President. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at County Line Brethren Church, 69988 U.S. 31S, Lakeville. Graveside services and burial will follow at Fair Cemetery, North Liberty, where military honors will be provided by the V.F.W. Post #363 of Lakeville. The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. Thursday in the Palmer Funeral Home, 314 S. Michigan St. Lakeville, and one hour prior to services at the Church on Friday.
