Two Well-Known Ladies Passed Away In Same Neighborhood Four Days Apart. Mrs. J.M. FRAZER and Mrs. Fanny WHITE, both residents of Burkesville Street and close neighbors, died within the past few days. Mrs. FRAZER, who would have been 61 years old 13-June-1933, died Friday morning after having been an invalid for thirty years. She had patiently borne her suffering and had been tenderly cared for by a devoted husband and children. Her condition had been serious for a week before her death. Mrs. FRAZER was born and reared in Cumberland County and was Miss Evie ALLEN before her marriage, being a daughter of Dewitt and Laura ALLEN. She moved to Columbia in 1887 and married J.M. FRAZER in 1932. They had three daughters and are survived by two, Misses Eva and Betty FRAZER. Miss Laura FRAZER died quite suddenly last October. After their marriage Mr. and Mrs. FRAZER lived in Springfield IL, Somerset and Danville KY. They returned to Columbia a number of years ago to make their permanent home in order that Mrs. FRAZER, who was a shut-in, could be close to her relatives and old friends. Mr. FRAZER is an employee of the Southern Railroad and his business keeps him in Danville most of of the time. Two sisters, Mrs. L.L. EUBANK of Columbia and Mrs. L.O. TAYLOR of Frankfort, are left besides her husband and daughters. Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon at 3 O'Clock, conducted by Reverend Perry L. STONE pastor of the Christian Church, of which the deceased was a member. Interment was in the City Cemetery. Mrs. Fanny WHITE, who was 83 years of age 04-Mar-1933, died very suddenly Monday morning after being ill only a week. She was a victim of heart trouble. Mrs. White was born and reared in the Fairplay section and was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Cellus LOY. She married Mr. Jessie V. WHITE just after the Civil War and they had three children, two sons who are dead and a daughter Mrs. J.C. STRANGE, with whom she lived at the time of her death. The family moved to Columbia about 40 years ago and have lived here continuously since that time. The deceased was a member of the Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law and one grandchild, Mrs. Dudley BISHOP of Madison IN. She also leaves three brothers, William, Robert, and Hector LOY, of Fairplay, and two sisters, Mrs. Julia TAYLOR of Fairplay and Mrs. Joe GADBERRY of Gadberry.
