Alline Erma Simpson, 77, of Greensburg, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2000 at Jane Todd Crawford Memorial Hospital in Greensburg. Daughter of the late Bolin and Mary Graham Milby, she was a member of Oak Separate Baptist Church. She was married to Cecil "Teetle" Simpson on May 22, 1937, who preceded her in death on July 5, 1994. Survivors include two sons, Winfred Lee and Charles Dencil Simpson, both of Greensburg; four daughters, Shirley Blackwood of Ceciro, Ill., Willow Dean Jewell and
Elaine Bishop, both of Greensburg, and Mitzi Heath of Campbellsville; one brother, William Milby of Melrose, Ill.; one sister, Evelyn Shaffer of Williamsport, Pa.; nine grandchildren, Sarah and Stacy Simpson, Robin Lowe, Ryan Jewell, Nelson and Jamie Bishop, all of Greensburg, Scotty Blackwood of Illinois, and Angie and Mary Beth Heath of Campbellsville; four greatgrandchildren, Aaron Blankenship of Seymour, Ind., Emily Simpson of Painstville, Christopher and Austin Lowe of Greensburg; six step-grandchildren; and 15 step-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Nathan Simpson. Pallbearers were Sammy Lobb, Allen Bishop, Lanny Bastin, Scotty Davis, Blane Moran and Don Hawkins. Honorary pallbearers were grandchildren and spouses, great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
