Flossie Gilbert, 89, of Meadowbrook Drive in Campbellsville died at 8:35 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, 2005, in Campbellsville.

Daughter of the late Anderson McKinley Greene and Zona Blakey Greene, she was born in Adair County, Ky., on March 13, 1916. She was a member of Campbellsville First Church of God and was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville.

She was married to Granville Gilbert on March 9, 1935. He preceded her in death Sept. 9, 1975.

Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law, Shirley Larimore and Cliff French, Brenda and Twyman Skaggs and Donna and Ernie Burris, all of Campbellsville, and Lois Thomas of Louisville, Ky.; a son and daughter-in-law, Wendell and Judy Gilbert of Campbellsville; eight grandchildren, Craig Larimore and Dana Burris Parson, both of Campbellsville, Derrick Gilbert of Georgetown, Ky., Tracy Goff of Summersville, Ky., Michael Thomas, Debbie Chotokevys, Monica Fitzner and Denise Starr, all of Louisville, Ky.; two step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandson; a brother, Norman Greene of Russell Springs, Ky.; and a sister, Dorothy Kesterson of Louisville.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Tammy Durrett; a brother, Dennis Greene; and a sister, Marcella Duncan.

Funeral was Wednesday, Nov. 23 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville. Bro. Mark West officiated. Burial was in Brookside Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Blake Durrett, Steve Durrett, Troy French, James Garner, Derrick Gilbert, Doug Greene, James Greene, Roy Greene and Craig Larimore.
