James Mills Martin was the father of John William Martin, who was the father to Ray Martin, grandfather of Sandra Kay O'Banion.  James Mills Martin served on the Union side during the Civil War.  He mustered in at Camp Wood in Munfordville in 1861 or 1862 & served until 1865 when discharged in Victoria, Texas
