Richard Parrott, b. 1617 in England, d. November 11, 1686 Middlesex England; m. Margaret, d. January 30, 1687; Richard Parrott and Margaret were among the first settlers of Lancaster County, VA and were in Lancaster County as early as 1649. They probably married in England, or in Barbadoes, where their first child, Elizabeth was born. They were in Lancaster County as early as 1649. Richard was a vestryman of Christ Church, commissioner of Lancaster County in 1656, elected High Sheriff June 5, 1657 and Senior Justice of Middlesex County Court 1673 until his death. His plantations were in Middlesex County; one of them, of 1000 acres was on the north side of Pyankatonk River. (49)
