EDMONTON — Lera King, 100, of Knob Lick, died Friday, July 16, 2010, at NHC in Glasgow.
She was the daughter of the late James and Lola Mitchell King. She was a retired Supervisor of Schools of the Metcalfe County School System and taught Sunday school for many years at Antioch Baptist Church at Knob Lick.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Antioch Baptist Church with burial in Pink Ridge Cemetery. Visitation was from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Butler Funeral Home in Edmonton and after 11 a.m. Monday at the church.
She is survived by two nephews, Glyndon (Nancy) Steele of Center and Barry Dean (Laurie) Steele of Knob Lick; two nieces, Edna Mae Smith and Doris (Burt) Johnson, all of Olympia, Wash.; several great nieces and nephews also survive.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Herbert King and two sisters, Bertha King and Mary Edna Steele.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Heart Association.
