Walthall Cemetery aka Sydnor Cemetery This cemetery is located on the north side of Highway 88 on the west side of Monroe. It is well maintained.

note: There is controversy regarding the name of this cemetery. I have no desire to participate in this controversy. The name of this cemetery was for many decades the "Walthall Cemetery". The oldest marked graves are "Walthalls". Recently a sign has been erected calling this the "Sydnor Cemetery". I have been contacted by a Sydnor stating his family holds a deed to this property. I have no opinion regarding the status of the name, but have listed it as the "Walthall Cemetery" as I feel that's what most know it as.
