SHIPP FAMILY CEMETERYLocated near Jonesville, KYHart County, Kentucky |
COMMENTS: As copied by Judge Cann. Also researched by Beatrice Lampkin and Anna Mae Higgason in 1973. Cemetery was noted as being in very poor condition – stones broken, and covered in underbrush. There is rumored to have been an old slave cemetery nearby, although, as far as is known, there is no proof, no documentation, and no existing grave stones. |
