L. A. “Buster” Gardner, age 82 of Munfordville, died Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at the T. J. Samson Community Hospital. He was a farmer; a member of the Cub Run Baptist Church and he served in the Army during World War II.

He is survived by three daughters, Linda Smith and husband Marion, Nadine Hawkins and husband David and Sandra Wright and husband Dave all of Munfordville; one sister, Freida Bonn of Brandenburg. Five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Gardner and Addie Akers Gardner; his wife, Lucille Rigdon Gardner; two sisters, Lucy Cline and Eunice Logsdon; one brother, Carson Gardner and a niece, Betty Johnson.

Funeral services for L. A. “Buster” Gardner will be held at 11am Friday, March 13, 2009 at the Brooks Funeral Home with interment at the Cub Run Cemetery. Visitation after 10am Thursday, March 12, 2009.
